Voting Equipment
Marion County uses
optical scanning voting equipment from Elections Systems & Software.
The optical scanning system scans your ballot and locates the filled in
oval(s), which identify who you have chosen to vote for.
|
This is a
sample of the paper ballot that is used in Marion County. The ballot will have
instructions on how to vote, and also have election specific instructions, such
as how many candidates to vote for. To properly fill out the ballot, completely fill in the oval to the left of your choice. |
|
|
You will be able to mark your ballot in privacy at one of the voting booths
located inside your polling location. |
|
|
Once you have marked your ballot, insert it into the optical scanner and your vote will be
counted. |
